[OOC] Faction Warfare got fun?

So I've recently joined the Amarrian Militia, and...it's AWESOME! Well, maybe not too awesome, but it's a helluva lot of fun nonetheless. For the past few days, I've been down on the front lines, roaming with a small fleet around Lamaa, Kourmonen, etc. We met little resistance at first, with most of the War Targets (WT's) warping off before we could get a tackler to intercept them. I managed to get a few kills, but eventually lost the ships I had brought down there as the Minmatari response began breaking up the fleet. Where we brought thirteen, they counter-attacked with over twenty five ships, many of them battlecruisers; the second engagement saw our fleet swell to twenty three, but the Matari responded again with a much greater force of over forty ships and scattered the Amarrian fleet. This seems to unfortunately be the case, regarding the war between the Empire and it's former slaves, where we attack with swift fury, they flee until they outnumber us at least 2-1. With the introduction of NPC complexes (plex's), the war has gotten much more dynamic, and there is a place for mission-running carebears, but the main focus is still PVP. The biggest change with the introduction of plex's is the constriction of fleet-wide ship composition; ie, people are flying cheap ships, primarily frigates and destroyers, with the odd cruiser and even battlecruiser thrown into the mix. More to come later!
